Fred began taking pictures in Western Michigan at the age of 14 with an old Kodak Brownie 127 given to him by his uncle Jack.  Since then he has come up through the ranks with several Nikon film cameras and now shoots exclusively with digital Canon equipment.  Fred has always loved photography and working with people, it was a natural development for him to combine the two and start a photography studio.

In September of 2000 Fred married Michelle Diaz of Cebu City in the Philippines in a lavish garden wedding complete with carved ice swan and white doves that flew away.

In 2001 Fred graduated from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI with a BS in Business Management and Michelle is a graduate of The University of the Visayas and holds a BS in Nursing.

Fred and Michelle are both graduates of Jeff and Pam Farr's Not Your Normal School of Photography® in Carthage, NC. Together they are an excellent team in all respects of the business.

Today they own and manage NYT Photography, a private "by invitation only" studio where clients enjoy a personalized photo session in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Their philosophy is simple: do what ever it takes to have an unforgettable and positive photo session by capturing the look and faces of the people we cherish so dearly.
